We asked the businesses in our community to share how and why they got started. Here is what Gordon Whitlock, the founder of Glow Research, had to say:
1- Why did you start your company?
I wanted to bring a low cost and highly reliable plasma system to the market.
2- What has been the most surprising thing as you have grown your business?
Just how important cash flow is.
3- If you were to do it all over again what would you do differently?
I would build more expensive equipment earlier.
4- Where do you hope to be in 10 years?
Phoenix in the winter and Pinetop in the summer and bringing in 20mm per year.
5- What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I’m a tree hugger!
