E14 Sukki Jahnke with Tempe Chamber of Commerce

Living a life of service and doing purposeful work are both really important to a lot of us! It’s how many of us choose what career we will pursue, what volunteer work we do and/or what organizations we align ourselves with.

Those values are certainly true for our recent guest, Sukki Jahnke, VP of Marketing and Programs for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce.

MAC6 Community Connection Radio Show and podcast hosts, Jennifer Burwell and Kyle McIntosh, had a great time on-air with Sukki discussing all things life, business and Tempe Chamber.

If you are a business professional in the Phoenix Metro area, Tempe resident, or MAC6 community member, this episode is worth the listen. It is chock-full of valuable information about mentorship, volunteer opportunities, networking, and more.

Through our work with the community, state and federal government, the Tempe Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering a vibrant business community through advocacy, connection, and visibility on behalf of our more than 650 members.

Into her fourth year at the Tempe Chamber, Sukki Jahnke’s role is to oversee the marketing, communications and programs at the Chamber. She facilitates the Business Owners Forum, Military Affairs Committee, Women in Business Council, Sustainability Committee and just recently started assisting with the Tempe Leadership Council.

Prior to the Chamber of Commerce, Sukki spent 16 years working in the corporate arena as a marketing and event professional. In her spare time, she has always served non-profits through board service and volunteering, including 4 years on the Arizona Sunbelt Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, 2 years of committee service in the Arizona chapter of HSMAI.

While in Ohio, she served the board of the Lake County Historical Society and a brief term on the City of Mentor Planning Commission.

Originally from Northeast Ohio, Sukki has two sons. Leo (29) is a professional sound engineer and musician, and Addison (26) is a degreed pastry chef currently working as Sous Chef and Executive Pastry chef at Pesto’s in Chandler.

ABOUT OUR CO-HOSTS

Kyle McIntosh

With a background in marketing, in various for profit and not for profit companies, Kyle McIntosh wondered, “How can I pair the passion and commitment to community progress of a non-profit with the sustainability and reach of a for profit company?” From this question and perspective a mission evolved to tear down the false distinction between the two sectors and to promote companies with Conscious Capitalism® business models through MAC6.

Kyle is the President and Creative Excitant of MAC6.  Day to day, his main operational role is on the “spaces” side of the business, focusing on creating thriving communities in the commercial office buildings, the co-working space, and the co-manufacturing space.  The other role that he plays is that of EOS implementer, working with clients to bring the Entrepreneurial Operating System, from the book Traction® to their businesses.  Additionally, he sits on the boards of Conscious Capitalism Arizona, telling the stories of good businesses in Arizona, and The Tempe Chamber of Commerce, sustaining Tempe’s quality of life and keeping our community and economy vibrant.

Kyle loves Arizona and wants to see us all collectively find great success based on the awesome things that are happening here every day.
